The TruAge COMPLETE Epigenetic Test provides an in-depth assessment of your biological age, offering insight into how fast your body is ageing at a molecular level.

While chronological age reflects how many years you have lived, biological age reflects how your cells, organs, and systems are ageing based on genetics, lifestyle and environmental influences.

This test uses advanced epigenetic analysis to deliver a detailed view of ageing, healthspan, and age-related disease risk, making it an ideal baseline test for those interested in longevity and preventative health.

Why this test is useful

Ageing does not occur at the same rate for everyone. Two people of the same chronological age can have very different biological ages and long-term health risks.

The TruAge COMPLETE Test helps identify:

  • whether you are ageing faster or slower than expected

  • how quickly your body is ageing right now

  • which organ systems may be ageing more rapidly

  • how lifestyle factors such as inflammation, immune health, smoking, and alcohol intake may be influencing ageing

  • opportunities to support healthy ageing and longevity

The COMPLETE Variant builds on this by focusing on advanced ageing algorithms and deeper system-level insights, making it particularly useful for those who want the most comprehensive epigenetic overview available.

How the test works

You collect a blood sample at home using the kit provided.

The sample is returned to the laboratory, where DNA is extracted and analysed for epigenetic markers (DNA methylation patterns) that reflect biological ageing. Results are processed using validated ageing algorithms and presented in a detailed, easy-to-understand report.

What is measured

The TruAge COMPLETE Test includes the following key reports and biomarkers:

  • Biological Age Score (OMICmAge)
A multi-omics-based biological age algorithm developed by TruDiagnostic in collaboration with Harvard University, designed to identify molecular drivers of accelerated ageing.

  • 11 Organ System Age Scores (SYMPHONYAge)
Yale-developed models estimating ageing across 11 organ systems and providing a whole-body ageing clock.

  • Pace of Ageing (DunedinPACE)
Measures how fast you are ageing right now, rather than how old you are, based on long-term population data from the Dunedin Study.

  • Telomere Length Report
Provides context on cellular ageing and replicative potential.

  • 12-Cell Immunity Report
Assesses immune cell composition and immune ageing.

  • Inflammation Score (CRP & IL-6)
Evaluates inflammatory signalling linked to ageing and chronic disease risk.

  • Mortality Risk Estimate
Based on epigenetic and phenotypic ageing markers.

  • Grip Strength & Gait Speed Metrics
Functional indicators of physical ageing and frailty risk.

  • Smoking Impact Score

  • Alcohol Impact Score

  • Cancer Risk Indicators

Together, these reports provide a multi-layered view of biological ageing, combining molecular, immune, organ-system, and functional data.

Who should consider this test

This test may be useful if you:

  • want to understand your biological age versus your chronological age

  • are interested in longevity, healthspan, or preventative medicine

  • want a comprehensive ageing baseline before making lifestyle changes

  • are already following a health, fitness, or longevity programme and want objective tracking

  • want to understand how inflammation, immune health, smoking or alcohol may affect ageing

  • are curious about age-related disease and mortality risk

It is particularly well suited for first-time users seeking the most complete epigenetic ageing assessment available.

Understanding your results

Results show:

  • how your biological age compares to your actual age

  • whether you are ageing faster or slower than average

  • which organ systems may require additional support

  • how lifestyle factors are influencing your ageing trajectory

Findings may highlight accelerated ageing, healthy ageing patterns or areas where targeted lifestyle changes could be beneficial.

Results are best interpreted alongside lifestyle, medical history and health goals. Follow-up with a qualified healthcare professional may be appropriate.

Returning samples to the lab

It is the user’s responsibility to organise sample returns.
Instructions are provided in the sample collection kit along with a pre-paid return envelope.

Results timeframe

Results are typically available within 3–6 weeks.
Timeframe begins once the laboratory receives your sample.

Important limitations

This test provides insight into biological ageing and risk patterns but does not diagnose medical conditions.

Ageing is influenced by genetics, lifestyle, and environment and results represent risk trends rather than certainty.

Results should not be used to make medical decisions without appropriate professional guidance.

Testing is performed by TruDiagnostic, a HIPAA-compliant and CLIA-certified laboratory specialising in epigenetic testing and ageing research.

DNA analysis uses Illumina BeadChip microarray technology. The process includes DNA extraction, bisulfite conversion to identify methylated sites, amplification, fragmentation, hybridisation onto microarrays, high-resolution scanning and analysis using proprietary and validated ageing algorithms.
