This test analyses your DNA using a simple saliva sample to provide insight into how your genetics may influence health, nutrition, lifestyle and disease risk. It examines 189 genes and over 250 SNPs, identifying genetic variations that may affect areas such as metabolism, detoxification, inflammation, nutrient needs, stress response and chronic disease predisposition.

Your DNA does not change over time, making this a once-only test that provides lifelong insights.

Why this test is useful

Your genes influence how your body responds to food, exercise, stress, medications and environmental exposures. Understanding your genetic blueprint can help explain why certain diets, supplements or lifestyle approaches work well for you while others do not.

This test highlights genetic tendencies related to areas such as:

  • type 2 diabetes risk

  • gluten and lactose sensitivity

  • detoxification efficiency

  • antioxidant and omega-3 needs

  • caffeine and alcohol response

  • weight management and metabolic health

  • stress resilience, sleep and cognitive traits

These insights can support more personalised and proactive health decisions.

How the test works

You collect a saliva sample at home using the kit provided.

The sample is returned to the laboratory, where your DNA is extracted and analysed using high-throughput genetic technology.

Once analysed, your results are presented in an easy-to-understand report covering multiple areas of health and wellbeing.

Genes and biomarkers analysed

This test assesses genetic variants across 189 genes, including (but not limited to):

AANAT, ACE, ACE2, ACTN3, ACVR1B, ADA, ADD1, ADH1B, ADH1C, ADIPOQ, ADORA2A, ADRB2, ADRB3, AGER, AGT, AHR, AKT1, ALDH2, AMPD1, APOA2, APOA5, APOC1, APOC3, APOE, BCMO1, BDNF, BHMT, CBS, CETP, CLOCK, COMT, CRP, CYP1A1, CYP1A2, CYP2C9, CYP2C19, CYP2D6, CYP3A4, DAO, DIO1, DIO2, DRD2, FADS1, FADS2, FTO, FUT2, GC, GSTM1, GSTP1, GSTT1, HFE, HLA-DQA1, HLA-DQB1, IL-1, IL-6, IL-10, LCT, LEPR, LPA, LPL, MAOA, MTHFR, MTR, MTRR, NAT2, NRF2, NOS3, PEMT, PON1, PPARG, SHBG, SLC6A4, SOD1, SOD2, TAS2R38, TCF7L2, TNF, UCP1, UCP2, VDR, VKORC1 and many others.

These genes relate to detoxification, inflammation, metabolism, cardiovascular health, hormonal balance, neurological function, immunity and nutrient processing.

Who should consider this test

This test may be useful if you:

  • want personalised insights into nutrition, supplements, and lifestyle.

  • are interested in disease prevention and long-term health planning.

  • struggle with weight, energy, stress, or food sensitivities.

  • want to understand your response to caffeine, alcohol or exercise.

  • are curious about inherited health risks and traits.

  • want a once-off test that provides lifelong information.

Understanding your results

Your report highlights genetic tendencies, not diagnoses.

Results show areas where you may have:

  • increased or reduced genetic risk.

  • altered nutrient or detoxification needs.

  • specific lifestyle sensitivities or strengths.

Genetics represent predisposition, not destiny. Results are best interpreted alongside lifestyle, environment, and health history. Follow-up with a healthcare professional may be appropriate.

Returning samples to the lab

It is the user’s responsibility to organise sample returns.
Instructions are provided in the sample collection kit with pre-paid envelopes.

Results timeframe

  • Results are available within 3–6 weeks

  • Timeframe begins once the laboratory receives your sample

Important limitations

This test identifies genetic predispositions and traits but does not diagnose medical conditions.

Lifestyle and environmental factors play a major role in how genes are expressed.

Results should not be used to make medical decisions without appropriate professional guidance.

Laboratory quality and methodology

DNA analysis is performed by Eurofins Clinical Genetics, a UKAS-accredited medical laboratory (No. 9256), accredited to ISO 15189 and registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Testing uses Illumina Microarray BeadArray Technology, a high-throughput genetic analysis platform that allows simultaneous analysis of hundreds of thousands of genetic variants with high accuracy and reliability.
